Welcome to Concord, California! It is my pleasure to serve at the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Visit Concord this upcoming year!

For 10 years Visit Concord and our industry partners have been collaboratively working to transform this East Bay gem into a top tourism destination. With activities ranging from Retail Therapy to an all-day hiking adventure, Concord can provide what you need for a memorable stay.

The newly branded Toyota Pavilion at Concord provides a variety of shows throughout the year, and can double as a meeting space for your next event. Take a peek at their lineup and select your next concert by navigating to their website.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord provides a family fun experience for all during the hot summer months. Having just over 12 attractions, there is something for everyone at this iconic Waterpark. With the longest Lazy River in Northern California, this is the number one stop on your next road trip of the Golden State.

Beautiful Mt. Diablo State Park offers a variety of hiking trails that showcase the natural beauty of the area and provide hikers with stunning vistas, diverse landscapes, and rewarding outdoor experiences. With trails of varying difficulty, Mt. Diablo provides hiking for a first timer to an experienced climber.

I am thrilled to share with you the incredible progress and accomplishments that Visit Concord has achieved over the past year. Thanks to the unwavering support of our partners and allies, we have spearheaded the recovery of hospitality and tourism in our community. Our approach has been centered around collaboration, thoughtfulness, and the collective effort to build a stronger and more vibrant community together.

Marketing co-ops enabled us to pool resources and reach a wider audience. Additionally, we have actively participated in tradeshows and large industry events, showcasing Concord as a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse destination. Our beautiful backdrop of the stunning Mt. Diablo, along with the abundance of open dining options, outdoor shopping experiences, and vibrant live music scene, have attracted journalists, influencers, and visitors. The result has been an overwhelming amount of positive articles, website impressions, and social media coverage, all highlighting Concord as a must-visit location.

Visit Concord has also been at the forefront of developing and nurturing our destination through various initiatives. We have implemented sensory training and accessibility programs, ensuring that our hotels and attractions are equipped to cater to all visitors. Sustainability has been another focus area, as we strive to make Concord an environmentally conscious destination. Additionally, we have launched target-engaging campaigns to attract specific demographics and create memorable experiences for travelers.

Our advocacy efforts extend beyond our immediate community. We have been actively raising awareness about tourism at both regional and local levels, with the aim of restoring lost business travel and promoting responsible stewardship of our resources. We continue to entice travelers from all over, showcasing the wonders of Concord and everything it has to offer.

The impact of travel is truly remarkable, and we are honored to be able to share Concord's story with you. We remain dedicated to our mission of showcasing Concord as the “Trailhead to Adventure”, and we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Together, with the support of our partners and the community, we will continue to build a brighter future for Concord.
