Nestled in a valley at the foot of Mount Diablo (elevation 3,849 ft.), its location and diverse topography are responsible for its microclimates. Winter daytime temperatures average in the middle 50s. Summer daytime temperatures average in the high 80s, with heat waves leading to 100 degree days in August and September. Seasonally, Concord sees the least amount of precipitation in the spring and summer. Average annual precipitation is 18 inches, falling on an average of 57 days annually.

A mild climate allows for year-round indoor and outdoor activities whether that’s attending a concert at the Concord Pavilion on a warm, clear and starry night in June or hiking Mount Diablo State Park in February.
