2. Picnic in the Park: Barbecue gatherings might be out, but with so much space you'll be able to find a place. Why not pack a lunch and make your way to Markham Nature Park and Arboretum-- an urban oasis with more than 2.4 miles of trails. A good place to run around and get the wiggles out without having to run into anyone.Just make sure to keep your distance.
4. Comfort Food Calls: You know Concord comfort food is the bomb, and this is the perfect time to indulge! Asian, Italian, Mexican -- or maybe just some mac & cheese or a good burger might do the trick. Whatever you're craving, we’ve made finding it easy: just check out the #concordeats list of restaurants open for takeout or delivery.
5. Meandering Along: Walk the Contra Costa Canal Trail through a paved multi-use, whole-access trail in the Park District system that is popular with bikers, runners and equestrians. Plus, you can admire the poppies in bloom right now! Did you know that red poppies are a symbol of memorial day and are often warn to honor men and women who gave their lives? Please note that some parks and trails have limited hours or access at this time. Please check East Bay Regional Park District website for updates.
