Lodging
HOTEL PARTNERS
All of Concord’s nine hotels and motels are certified ADA compliant, offering special rooms, facilities, ramps, parking and more, with amenities varying at each location. All hotels also offer Concord Sensory Bags - read more below.
PRACTICE STAYS
We understand that traveling and shaking up a routine can be difficult for those living with sensory sensitivities, and researchers say that practice can help! In our Practice Stay program, families with a diagnosed loved one with sensory sensitivities or who are on the autism spectrum can stay in a Concord hotel overnight for free.
CONCORD SENSORY BAGS
At each hotel front desk, you can request a Concord Sensory Bag to use during your stay (not take-home). These special kits include ear protectors, a seven-pound weighted blanket, branded sunglasses, some fun trinkets and toys, communication cards, a popper fidget toy, a whiteboard and marker, and a white noise machine.
Transportation
BART ACCESSIBILITY
Bay Area Rapid Transit, or BART, is committed to making sure that services are available to everyone. They offer services for passengers with sight, hearing, mobility and other special needs accommodations.
COUNTY CONNECTION
The County Connection is a Concord-based public transit agency operating fixed-route bus and ADA paratransit service in and around central Contra Costa County. They offer LINK Paratransit, an accessible service for all.
JSX
Jet Suite X, or JSX, offers flights to and from Burbank daily out of Concord’s convenient Buchanan Field Airport. Travelers may contact the Access Services representative at 800-435-9579 for information and special needs accommodations.
TSA CARES
TSA Cares is a program that provides airline travelers with disabilities, medical conditions and other special circumstances additional assistance during the security screening process. They offer notification cards, practice security checks and more.
CAR & VAN RENTALS
Most local vehicle rental businesses offer vehicles for people of all abilities with advance notice, including wheelchair accessible vans and vehicles with adaptive driving devices.

MOBILITY SERVICES & EQUIPMENT RENTAL
Rental of wheelchair accessible vans and mobility equipment is available from a number of different local businesses.
SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER SERVICES
For those visitors with hearing impairments or who otherwise need sign language interpreter services, those are available in the East Bay with advance notice.
