Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead: El Abuelo (The Tree & The Donkey Who Loved to Sing)

Embrace the spirit of remembrance and cultural richness at the Concord Library's Day of the Dead event!

Join us at 5:30 pm to create paper flowers and alebrijes before we all build an altar with music, dance, memories, and traditions for our muertitos with Cascada de Flores and… YOU! Families can bring pictures or "ofrendas" if they wish. We will use battery-operated candles. This is a family event. All ages are welcome!

The show El Abuelo (The Tree & The Donkey Who Loved to Sing) will begin at 6:00 PM.

The show is a bilingual, interactive experience bursting with traditional Mexican music, dance, and humor! Experience the magic of ancient instruments, catchy songs, and lively characters. You'll sing like owls, dance like vultures, and share laughs with “Abuelo.”

Don't miss this celebration in honor of the Day of the Dead.
