The mission of the Adaptive Learning Center (ALC) is to provide a safe and healthy community for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders to realize their individual potential for self-reliant living as defined by the ability to engage in productive work, to socialize successfully, to attend to their own physical and emotional health, and to experience on-going personal growth. ALC, a nonprofit organization, was established in 1988 and is located in Concord, California. ALC provides the necessary supports that enable adults with disabilities to live and work as independently as possible in the community. ALC’s vision is a community where individuals of all abilities have limitless opportunities. The agency is committed to that vision and strives to create those opportunities that enable the people served to have meaningful relationships and to become valued and respected members of the greater community.
