Pride In The Plaza

5. DUST OFF YOUR BIKE

Join the 2024 Summer Bike Challenge and enjoy a season of outdoor adventure! Win weekly bonus prizes and compete for an iPad Grand Prize. This free, fun, and healthy activity is perfect for all ages. If you can't bike to certain squares, substitute them with a bikeable destination of your choice. Plus, opt-in for Weekly Bike Ride Challenges for extra prizes every week. Also, check out the Summer Youth Pass, a three-month bus pass for kids aged 6-18, offering unlimited rides on Tri Delta Transit, County Connection, and WestCat for just $30 from June to August. Empower your kids to explore the city independently this summer!

6. JUNETEENTH FEST

Join us on Sunday, June 23rd, from 12-4 PM for the 2nd Annual Juneteenth celebration at Concord’s Todos Santos Plaza! Organized by members of Concord Communities Alliance (CCA), a volunteer-based 501c4 organization, along with community leaders and business owners, this event promises a day of celebration and education.

Enjoy a diverse lineup of performers, spoken word artists, and kid-friendly activities. Join in the double Dutch team and Capoeira demonstrations. This year's focus is on health and wellness in the Black community, with a wellness village offering Reiki and massages, as well as information from local nonprofits. Indulge in delicious food from food trucks offering seafood, jambalaya, soul food, and more!


7. PLAN YOUR 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND

Celebrate the spirit of independence with family and friends at Concord’s July 4th Parade! Immerse yourself for a full day of fun in patriotic pride and lively entertainment.

After the parade, head to the festival where you'll find delicious food, live music, and fun-filled activities for the whole family, and get ready for a breathtaking fireworks display at Mt. Diablo High School.
